Chickens, native wildlife and country quiet

Guests often love meeting the chickens and watching the daily life in the valley. When the hens are laying, we provide fresh eggs for guests to enjoy during their stay.

Around the broader property, keep an eye out for pademelons, wallabies, possums, echidnas and Tasmanian nativehens - the fast, noisy locals often nicknamed turbo chickens.

Sightings are never guaranteed, but slow mornings and dusk on the deck are usually the best time to notice what is moving through the paddocks and bush. We also provide a torch for guests who would like to look for wildlife at night from the deck or balcony.
